Homo sapiens has conquered the Earth — and soon, space — thanks to our ability to cooperate through stories, inventions, communication, and more. But today, debating well is hard. There are extreme positions on all sides, and constant manipulation from media, politicians, influencers — and even from ourselves toward others. That’s why the best way to have a meaningful debate is to turn to the data. As the saying goes: “what isn’t counted is just storytelling.” Too often, debates happen without real data, or worse, with wrong or misleading data. A big part of the problem is that reliable data is hard to find — or when it is available, it’s so complex that people don’t understand it, get bored, or simply ignore it.
When we share opinions, they’ll always belong to the author of the post, not the website. And anyone is welcome to share their thoughts in the comments — respectfully, of course. But remember, the focus here isn’t opinions — it’s the data. We believe that good debates start with good data. If you’d like to contribute data, infographics, or anything else, you’re more than welcome.
